Żywiec is a lovely small town situated at the confluence of Soła and Koszarawa Rivers in the Żywiecka Valley. Its most picturesque location and one of the most pleasant places is, without a doubt, the Habsbourg Park with a palace and old castle built by the Komorowski in the 16th century. You should pay a special attention to the permanent exhibition dedicated to the history and tradition of the town. In the museum you can see an extremely rich and varied exhibition of the Żywiecczyzna Region's fauna and flora, ceremonial outfits of the authochtons and archeological division with so-called "living exhibition".

Lomnica (2634 metres above sea level) is the second highest peak in the Tatras after Gerlachovsky Peak. This hard-to-reach peak is accessed by a cable car destined for 14 passengers, which departs from Lomnicky Pond. During 50 minutes of stay on Lomnica you can enjoy spectacular views over surrounding valleys and peaks.
The High Tatras are the highest part of the Tatra Mountains, alpine in character, which extends between the Western Tatras to the west and Belianske Tatras to the north-east. You will start sightseeing with the Belianska Cave situated on the northern slope of Kobyli Hill over the Tatranska Valley. It is the only cave open to tourists in the High Tatras, it ranks third among the biggest Slovakian caves and first among the Tatras’ largest ones. The Belianska Cave is famous for its beautiful dripstones and little picturesque lakes. Visiting takes about 75 minutes, during which you walk about 1 km. The temperature in the cave varies between 5 and 6,3 °C.

To get the full idea of the place it is necessary to visit both parts of the camp - Birkenau and Auschwitz. The vastness of the area, primitive barracks for prisoners, ruins and remnants of other facilities, long kilometers of the camp's fencing and roads fully reflect what words fail to explain – expanse of degradation, cruelty and inhuman crime. They also represent the specific architecture of the camps, which was focused on one goal – extermination of human beings. In the museum you can watch a 17-munutes documentary which depicts the first moments following the liberation of the camp.

Slovak Paradise is an extremely beautiful land situated in the central eastern Slovakia which occupies an area of 198 square km. In 1988 a national park was founded there. Many thousand years ago the whole area of the park was a uniform plane cut by rivers Hornad and Hnilec and torrents Velky Sokol, Sucha Bela & Biely Potok into a few smaller and bigger plateaux. Over the years the Slovak Paradise has gained many distinctive gorges with waterfalls. Many karst formations can be found in the area including pits and caves.
