Having left Niedzica, you spend over two hours going down the rapid current of the Dunajec River on a wooden raft. The diversity of the fast-moving scenery shall surprise even the most demanding tourists.
The raft trip starts in Sromowce Kąty and ends in Szczawnica, where one-hour dinner break is planned.
One of the trip’s biggest attractions is a wooden church in Dębno built in the 15th century, which can be visited in the presence of the parson.
The church is a Grade A building (historic monument of the outstanding cultural value), whose international significance can be compared to that of Wawel Royal Castle in Cracow.
According to local legends, the famous Slovak outlaw Janosik was the frequent visitor in that church. In the movie "Janosik”, the main character’s wedding took place there.
In 2003 the church was listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
