The name of the City originates from the Czech word “práh” that means a doorstep. This word relates to hospitality and openness towards tourists. Prague is famous for tradition and beautiful architecture. It impresses with its charms not only tourists, but also its citizens.

The aim of our two-day trip is to present you the biggest attractions and real gems in order to allow you to visit one of the unique European capitals and learn about its tradition, history and numerous legends

Trip description

 Strahov Monastery

Klasztor StrahowskiStahov MonasteryThe first day of our trip we will start with visiting the Baroque monastery which was founded in 1140. Nowadays, it belongs to one of the eldest Romanesque buildings in Europe. The Monastery consists of the Strahov Library, that has more than 800-hundred-year tradition, the Holy Virgin Mary Church and Saint Roch’s Church

 Hradčany Castle

Zamek na HradczanachHradčany CastleHradčany is situated on the western side of the Vltava River. It is the eldest, the most famous and the best-preserved districts of Prague. The whole complex consists of the Royal Castle, the Saint George’s Basilica, the Golden Lane, as well as the Saint Vitus’s Cathedral. We will enter the Castle through the Rococo guarded gate. Behind it, there is the so-called Honourable Courtyard with the residence of the head of the state.

 Charles Bridge

Most KarolaCharles BridgeThe next part of our trip will involve walking across the most popular stone bridge in Prague, from where you will admire a magnificent view on the Castle in Hradčany. The Bridge has almost 516 metres and links such districts as Malá Strana i Staré Město.

 Křižík’s Light Fountain

After checking in at a hotel and having supper, we offer you to go to the evening fountain show – very famous Prague’s attraction. The fountain was built in 1891 and it has 3000 nozzles, 1248 underwater floodlights of various colours, 1650 cubic metres of water in a pool with the dimensions of 25 x 45 meters, 50 water pumps supplying several water circuits, 2 km – the length of entire water installation. The fountain show is accompanied by classical, film or popular music coming out from 55 loudspeakers.

 Old Market Square – Old City Hall

Ratusz StaromiejskiOld City HallThe Old City Hall, that was opened in 1338, is placed on the list of the most beautiful monuments in Prague. The 70-metre-high Gothic tower was added in later years. The Old City Hall is decorated with the fifteenth-century astronomical clock in front of which every day there are lots of tourist admiring the parade of integrated with it figures of 12 apostles, reminding us of passing time.

 Prague’s Districts – Josefov

Dzielnica JosefovPrague’s Districts – JosefovJosefov, the former Jewish district, is located in the centre of Prague. It was named after Joseph II who lifted restrictions on the Jewish communities and granted civil rights to them. Some of the biggest monuments are the Old Jewish Cemetery, known as the House of Life, and the Gothic Synagogue from 13th century.
