TRIP Description

Skalnate Pleso

We begin our excursion with a cable car ride from Tatranská Lomnica to Skalnaté Pleso (1,751 m a.s.l.), from where we will take another cable car up to Lomnický Štít (2,634 m a.s.l.).

Lomicki Peak

A 14-passenger aerial tramway runs from Skalnaté Pleso to this otherwise difficult-to-reach peak. At the summit of Lomnica, there is an observation deck where, during a 50-minute stay, you can admire the breathtaking panorama of both the Polish and Slovak Tatra Mountains. Standing at 2,634 m a.s.l., Lomnica is the second-highest peak in the Tatras, surpassed only by Gerlach..

Štrbské Pleso

One of the most picturesque spots in the High Tatras. During a stroll around the lake, you will be able to admire the captivating panorama of the Liptov and Poprad Basins, as well as the Low Tatras.

Starý Smokovec

Starý Smokovec is a charming, historic 19th-century resort town that serves as the central hub of the High Tatras. This well-known tourist center is also a major junction for the scenic, narrow-gauge electric railway that connects Poprad, Tatranská Lomnica, and Štrbské Pleso.
