TRIP Description
Eger
The way to Hungary goes firstly through Slovakia, picturesque Spiš and extending around views on the Tatra Mountains. Eger is located at the foot of the Bükk Mountains on the River Eger. The Town impresses with the richness of monuments and charm of narrow streets. Eger and its neighbouring areas are famous for thermal pools as well as wine cultivation and production, including the most famous Egri Bikavér (“Bull’s Blood of Eger”). It is a mecca for wine lovers.
Valley of Beautiful Woman
It is located in the suburbs of Eger and is a quintessence of wine-making joy of life. The Valley abounds with several dozens of climatic wine cellars that were hollowed out in volcanic rocks. You can taste and buy there the most delicious wines from the region of Eger.
Tasting wine and traditional goulash soup
During your stay in the Valley of Beautiful Woman, we will invite you to taste the well-known - and appreciated in Poland - wine Egri Bikavér. Only a few carefully selected types of grapes are used for its production. This guarantees an intense aroma, ruby colour as well as pleasant and slightly tart taste.
Magyaros gulyásleves kenyérrel is delicious goulash soup with bread. This is one of the most famous Hungarian dishes. The soup is dense, spicy and stodgy, and has pieces of meat and vegetables.
Swimming pool complex Miszkolc-Tapolca
Thermal baths in the Burlan Furdo caves are one of the most popular baths in Hungary. The pools int the caverns are more than 700 meters underground in hall (half made artificially), offer a unique bath experience in creatively lit chambers. The hitting water over the rocks give a natural effect. The baths also include thermal pools outdoors. Bath in thermal waters is recommended for the following conditions: circulatory disorders, neurosis, hypertension, physical and mental exhaustion, respiratory, digestive and stomach diseases. Furthermore, the spas in Miskolc contain iodine, bromine and potassium and are an excellent remedy for rheumatism.
