TRIP Description

Wooden church in Dębno

The wooden church in Dębno built in the 15th century is a Grade A building (historic monument of the outstanding cultural value), whose international significance can be compared to that of Wawel Royal Castle in Cracow. According to local legends, the famous Slovak outlaw Janosik was the frequent visitor in that church. In 2003 the church was listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Niedzica Castle and Czorsztyn Dam

A short walk along the top of the artificial dam on the Dunajec River will allow you to see a great deal of work contributed to provide the whole Poland with protection against one of the greatest element, that is water. During one-hour free time there is a possibility of visiting the Gothic Niedzica Castle – one of the biggest tourist attractions of Southern Lesser Poland. It is also noteworthy that some scenes for such TV series as the “Janosik” and the “Holidays with Ghosts” were filmed there.

Rafting down the Dunajec river gorge

You spend about two hours going down the rapid current of the Dunajec River on a wooden raft. The diversity of the fast-moving scenery shall surprise even the most demanding tourists. The raft trip starts in Sromowce Kąty and ends in Szczawnica, where one-hour dinner break is planned.
